the hunt for two bedrooms

Since there's a new person soon to be in the family, Alex and I decided to upgrade to a two bedroom. Easier said then done. The apartment we're in currently has been the best place we've ever lived in together. It's larger then anything you could hope for in San Francisco, and since we're students at State, we get a discount on our rent. So, we don't really want to down grade, just to get an extra bedroom. Unfortunately, here in the city, you take whatever you can get and like it. The rent race here is crazier then I've seen anywhere. Plus all the apartments we've seen are both more expensive then what we can afford right now AND smaller then our current apartment. It's so silly. We thought for a bit about moving out of the city, somewhere closer to Yahoo, but who really wants to live down there? Sunnyvale? No thank you.

We made the choice to try to upgrade here, where we already are. The two bedrooms here are bigger, and again less expensive, and unfortunately totally booked up. I guess I never knew how lucky we were to get our place here.... or maybe two bedrooms are sought after more then one bedrooms.... Anyway, we've been asking what's available for two months now, and each time we get the same answer, totally full... check back next week.
