the illusionist

Tonight's movie was, "The Illusionist" staring Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti and Jessica Biel. It was set in Vienna in the early 1900's. Although the film had it's strong points, it isn't something I think I'd see again. The acting was superb, the art direction was certainly beautiful, and it was entertaining, however after about twenty minutes into the film, I knew what was coming. The script was well written, and the characters well developed, but I felt it lacked creativity and energy. I am certain that this movie will be picked up, so you'll be able to check it out for yourself.
