You never forget your first time....

Wow. I never thought I'd be doing this...blogging. Well, here I am. I guess Alex, my husband, is really responsible for all of this. Before I started dating him, I didn't have an email address, and I certainly never blogged, I had never even heard of it before! But that's a whole different story...

We're here, well, I am here to talk about the now in my life, not the then. And the now in my life, is the most exciting it's been in a while. I'm recently married, tied the knot on this past Sunday, August 7th. It was a lot of fun, in a very stressful kind of way. It actually turned out better then I could have EVER imagined.

Also, not quiet as life altering, I have an audition today for a short film. I have no idea what to expect, but we'll see. You know what's interesting...I've never audition for a script I haven't read. I do mostly theater acting. So, before an audition, I've read the script, I know what parts I can do, and what I can't do...But today, I'm walking in blind! Doing a cold read for a character I know no anything about the character! It's kind of exciting.

I have something fun planned afterwards too, I'm going to see this Bill Murray film, Broken Flowers, that I have been DYING to see. One of my acting coaches from MCTC (Mesa College Theater Company), always told me to have something fun planned after an audition. That way, it's not this one scary thing that you do in a given day, it's something you have to do before you meet your best friend for lunch at your favorite place, or buy yourself something pretty. I've always tried to stick to his and it's always worked for me. And for more audition tips, check out a great, and helpful book called, Audition by Michael Shurtleff. Good book.

That site is for a store front on lower height were I am selling my bags! That's right, Excessive Baggage is back in business. Well, it's getting there. I tried to sew last night, but my sewing machine broke AGAIN! I was pretty pissed.
