another day at the office

Well, that's a lie. Great, right off the bat, you know I'm a liar. Well, that is unless you count the plastic fold-out, overly crowded table where the computer sits in my studio apartment an office. I want a real job, one like I see in movies...I'd type god only knows what at my computer, and answer phones all day. Then I could write my blog on company time. Sure, it doesn't sound that great, but I'd be getting paid more then I do at Old Navy, and I wouldn't have to work the day before and after any major holiday making it virtually impossible to go out of town to visit family.

In all honesty, although I'm not at work today, I am working, hence my lie earlier. You see, truth be told, Alex and I are tight on funds (as usual), and so when we got married we decided to forgo the tradition of buying one another lavish presents and went with the agreement that neither of us would get the other one anything. It makes things easier that way. Also, you should know that our studio is a mess, and almost always is a mess, and since the arrival of many awesome, wonderful (and large) wedding presents, our studio has just never felt so tight around the hips, yah know? So....to make a not so interesting story short, I'm cleaning up. A couple of our friends who watched our cats (Rocko and Chee Chee) for us while we were on our honeymoon started this HUGE job (thank you Tamra, John and Jordan!!!!!!), and as a belated present to my darling husband, I am attempting to finish it.

But seeing how I've been working my fingers, toes, and ears to the bone, I decided that I deserved a break...and what better break can there be really then exercising that old blogging muscle. I mean, it is only a day old, if I don't nurse it, it might fade. (Sorry if that made zero sense, I've been drinking heavily (If my in-laws are reading this, that was a joke...my friends and I...well, needless to say, it's an inside joke, and I haven't been drinking. In fact I've never drank....ever.))

Right, getting back to whatever I was saying before...cleaning. Recently I have gotten a lot more into the whole thing. I never cared too much before, and I guarantee my mom will back that up. But something changed and now I kind of enjoy taking a day out of the week and cleaning until I pass out from all the fumes.

So, it's another busy day here. If by any chance you are reading this and happen to own, or manage any type of work place....PLEASE HIRE ME!!!! I need to work any where but in retail...Please.

Oh yeah, swiffer is the best invention EVER!!!

Until the cleaning stops.....
