Kick ass movie. Alex and I saw this movie yesterday, and I was impressed. I expected to be entertained by it, but I didn't expect to like it as much as I did.
I really enjoyed how they made the totalitarian society. It wasn't a typical movie totalitarian society. People went out to dinner, they had friends.... the control displayed in the movie was very subtle. They had curfews, and their media was controlled, but there weren't soldiers on every street corner. I liked it because it was a realistic picture of totalitarian society. And, it was creepy the parallels it had to a lot of places in our world now.
It was also brilliant how the government took over in the movie. I won't say how, because that would spoil things.
Don't get me wrong, there were some cheesy, action movie parts in it, but they were few, and far between. And, the ending was great!
Hey, my husband, Alex said it was better then the Matrix. Having never seen the Matrix, I have no comment.
But, go and see V for Vendetta!
