I received my voting book in the mail yesterday. I went through, and read the propositions, read the arguments for, and against, and let me tell you I am confused. They all read like this:
Prop OIMU (One I Made Up)
Pro Argument
Vote yes on Prop OIMU. Not only will it stop drug dealers from prowling our schools, but it will enable us to develop a cleaner, more efficient energy source, and save all the endangered species from extinction. Join the teachers, nurses, zoo keepers, and firefighters and vote yes on Prop OIMU.
Sounds fabulous, right? Wait until you read the con argument.
Con Argument
Vote no on Prop OIMU. It gives rich politicians the right to kill baby seals in their mansions for fun, and steal money from orphanages, and hunt elementary school kids for sport. It's un environmental, and un-American. Join the police, astronauts, dog catchers, and teachers and vote NO on Prop OIMU.
They are all like that. I have no idea how to vote 85% of the time. They should just use different color fonts on the props... red for right, and blue for left.
If anyone out there has better ways of understanding or interpreting props, please email me your wisdom!
