When I walked out of my house I heard a fire truck screeching by. I thought nothing of it, I usually hear well over a three dozen sirens daily. Then I down the street towards my destination, and I was stopped several blocks ahead. Apparently there had been a bomb threat on the California State Building on Polk and Golden Gate Ave., and no one was allowed to walk anywhere near it. I doubled back around, and made it, thankfully, to my interview just in time. When I left, I called my husband Alex to tell him about the my day so far. He told me, that he knew about the bomb threat, and that there had actually been an explosion! I thought that very odd, being that I walked past the building on my way home, and everything seemed to be normal. Things cleared themselves up though... he had been listening to the news, apparently a couple blocks away, there had been an explosion right off Market St. They don't know the cause yet, check out this article for more details.
